Lymphatic Massage

rejuvenate with lymphatic massage

The lymphatic system is one of the most important systems in your body!  Proper functioning of the lymphatic system is critical to your body's ability to detoxify, nourish and regenerate tissue and maintain a healthy immune system.  It is an ideal treatment for pre & post cosmetic surgery, post cesarean, maintaining a healthy immune system and integrating into a detox or cleanse.  Lymphatic circulation can be increased six to ten times the standard rate as a result of a single session of lymphatic drainage massage!

BENEFITS: Lymphatic Massage

  • Assists detoxification

  • Improves skin tone

  • Reduces swelling caused from injury or surgery - cosmetic, cesarean, or sports

  • Decreases healing time after surgery and improves scar formation

  • Helps you reach optimal health by improving immune system function

  • Aids in digestion

  • Reduces the appearance of tired puffy eyes

  • Calms the nervous system - assisting with anxiety, IBS, fibromyalgia, chronic pain and fatigue

  • Decreases inflammation (systemic and localized) - arthritis and allergies

Lymphatic massage is a light, rhythmic manual therapy which can increase the lymph circulation ten times more than what a body naturally does as a result of a single massage.  This subtle technique starts with dry skin brushing, uses a repetitive manual pumping of the lymph directly under the skin and then finished with a coconut oil infused with a lymph detox essential oil blend.  The treatment is extremely powerful while being gentle, relaxing and soothing for the body and nervous system.

Best Times to Receive a Lymphatic Massage:

  • Detox, Cleanse or Diet-- Many people benefit from a lymphatic massage prior to starting, during a cleanse and while the body is still eliminating toxins after a cleanse.

  • Pre-Cosmetic Surgery-- Lymphatic Massages 2 to 14 days prior to the scheduled procedure.

  • Post-Cosmetic Surgery-- Lymphatic Massages starting 10 to 14 days after surgery.

  • Post-Cesarean-- Lymphatic Massage can be helpful for moms just a few days and up to 3 months after birth to assist with water retention. After 6 months scar tissue therapy can be added in to assist with any restrictions from any abrasions.

Pre-Surgical Lymphatic Massage

One to three sessions are recommended 14-2 days before surgery. Lymphatic Massage is helpful in preparing the body for surgery by clearing any stagnant toxins and waste that may be at or around the surgical sites. Benefits may include reduced edema and swelling, stimulation of the immune system, increased relation and prevention of infection.

Post-Surgical Lymphatic Massage

Lymphatic massage is highly beneficial before and after plastic surgery, liposuction, body contouring and non-invasive laser treatments. It helps speed up recovery time, decrease swelling & bruising, prevent infection, alleviate pain, and minimize scarring & hardening. As a holistic lymphatic therapist, Paige may also make recommendations for you to integrate into your home-care protocol to assist with your healing.

It is recommended to pre-book your treatments once you’ve decided on your surgery date, this allows you to schedule your post-op care in a timely manner to help you optimize best results. Begin receiving lymphatic massages starting 10 days after your surgery, when drains have been removed and/or when your doctor recommends it.

To receive optimal results, it is recommended to integrate our whole food program along with your lymphatic massages. With increased toxicity in our environment and a decrease in lymphatic movement due to our sedentary lifestyles, our bodies are hosting toxins longer than we ever use to and our bodies are struggling to keep up. Our Monthly Detox Program helps you get a jumpstart to every month to assist your body in toxic removal. Without timely removal, our bodies protect themselves from harmful waste by encapsulating it with fat. View the diagram below to understand the relationship between fat, toxins and the risk of fat loss without filtration of toxins. Stop focussing on the fat - move your focus towards helping your body decrease it’s damaging toxic load and the body won’t want to “protect” you with that layer of fat! Learn More Here

When I had double jaw surgery and genioplasty, I was advised by my surgeon’s office to try lymphatic drainage massage to help reduce the swelling and pressure in my face. I found Paige through Yelp and saw that she did lymphatic drainage, so I decided to give her a try. I’m so glad I did! I saw her for three sessions. During each session she listened carefully to my needs and concerns before working gently on my neck and jaw. It helped me tremendously to receive her gentle but effective lymph massage post operation. Her massage helped relieve pressure in my face as well as just being very relaxing during a time that was rather stressful for me. I highly recommend Paige, particularly for lymphatic drainage massage.
